Cal Traffic mirrors Caltrans's public CWWP2 feeds — we don't operate the cameras. If a camera is offline, blurry, or pointing the wrong way, that's a Caltrans hardware/maintenance issue, not something we can fix on our end. Report camera issues to Caltrans directly via the Caltrans Customer Service Center.
Footage of a crash or incident
Cal Traffic shows the live Caltrans view only. Nothing is recorded or stored, so there is no footage to send. For a crash report, contact CHP.
Response time
Cal Traffic is run by one person in their spare time. We aim to reply within a few days but can't always promise it. For urgent road conditions, contact CHP or call 511.
