Cal Traffic surfaces public data from Caltrans, CHP, and the National Weather Service. This data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable at any time. Do not rely on Cal Traffic for emergency response, safety-critical decisions, or any situation where stale or missing data could cause harm. For emergencies, dial 911. For real-time road conditions, contact Caltrans or CHP directly.

Cal Traffic is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no representations regarding accuracy, availability, or fitness for any purpose.

Acceptable use

• Don't scrape Cal Traffic. The underlying data is already public — consume it directly from Caltrans CWWP2, CHP, or NWS instead.
• Don't resell, redistribute, or republish data derived from Cal Traffic without independently sourcing it from the original public agency.
• Don't attempt to interfere with the site's operation or other users' experience.

Third-party content

Camera images, traffic incidents, and weather alerts are the property of their originating agencies (Caltrans, CHP, NWS) and are public domain. Advertisements are served by third parties (Google AdSense) under their own terms. Cal Traffic is not responsible for the content of third-party ads.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cal Traffic and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the site.
